Head of Portfolio Insight IPA Cabinet Office
Responding to the challenges of reporting performance.
How do you measure the performance of the Government’s major projects? The Infrastructure and Projects Authority are designing and developing a Project Performance Framework to try and answer that question. We are currently collecting baseline data for projects to populate a project balanced scorecard to assess overall progress being made. We will discuss composition of the Portfolio, work to date and key challenges.
Laura Geddes-Brock is the Benefits and Savings Lead for the Infrastructure and Projects Authority. The IPA provides expertise in infrastructure and the financing, delivery and assurance of major projects, to support more effective management and delivery across government. In her current role Laura provides insight on Government’s major projects by developing frameworks and capability for the effective measurement of benefits and performance.
Laura has a demonstrable track record of implementing frameworks and processes across the public sector in Portfolio and Benefits Management. She also has significant experience in project and programme delivery, working on some of the largest projects within previous roles at Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police Service.
